I’m sorry to hear you’re continuing to have problems turning off your cellular data. I know having an option you use on a regular basis no longer available can be frustrating and I’ll be happy to help!
I checked our database for information on changes with the Wi-Fi calling update and there was nothing specific on the data switch so I can’t be sure if it being excluded was part of this. I realize that does not put us in the best light, but we are working with our software team to get better details in the future for our over the air updates.
In the meantime, have you tried updating to the newest over the air update that was released on August the 2nd?
I would recommend trying that update first to see if it re-adds the switch option. You can initiate the update by these steps:
1.Connect to Wi-Fi.
2.Tap Menu or pull down the notification shade.
3.Tap Settings > General > About phone > Update Center > Software update > Update Now.
4.Follow the prompts to download the software.
If that doesn’t fix it, I would try the backup and Master Reset mentioned above. Keep in mind doing this will erase all data from your phone and put it back to the original factory settings, so you’ll want to be sure to make a backup of your phone first.
