I’m sorry to hear that you are having issues setting up that email account on your phone! We can definitely see what can be causing this holdup!
Are you using an AT&T provided email address or one through another email provider? Were you previously able to set up the email on the phone? Any recent changes before this started happening?
If you are trying to set up the email account provided through AT&T, when setting up on your wireless device, select the Yahoo! option to automatically sync your calendar, contacts, and email.

There is also a Sync Toggle setting on the phone that can be accessed from the notification bar.
- Swipe down the notification pane using two fingers to reveal more options.
- Locate the Sync icon and tap on it to make sure it stays active (highlighted green).
- Retest the email account.
