I am very disappointed in this whole "share value plan" gimmick!!!! My family and I currently have 3 smartphones with AT&T; 2 of which are grandfathered into unlimited data; and 1 for which I pay $30 for 3GB of data. AT&T claims that the 10GB shared value plan is a cost savings; however, the only way you can sign up for the shared value plan is to also sign up for using AT&T Next. AT&T Next charges you monthly for your phone on top of the share value plan price making the overall monthly cost higher, where is the value in that? Also they took away the data blockage on smart limits so I can no longer control the amount of data my 12 year old uses and if he goes over the 3GB they will charge me, awesome way to ruin a good thing.
Current Plan $200 = 3 phones, 2 unlimited data, 1 3GB data; upgrade every 2 years at discounted prices.
Share Value Plan $220 = 3 phones all sharing 10GB data; upgrade every 2 years at discounted prices.
or
Share Value Plan $245 ($145 for plan and $35 per month per phone) = 3 phones all sharing 10GB data; upgrade every 12 months
