I know AT&T would like to get everyone off the old unlimited plans. I even took a look at the new offers but could not justify the extra cost of moving over. If it wasn't for the $15 / $40 equipment line charges I believe more users would have moved over to this new plan. For me the equipment charge kills any reason for me to move over. It's not cost effective. Even the AT&T CSR said I was better off staying were I was at.
I have the following:
$50 - 700 minutes
$30 - Unlimited Text
$60 - Unlimited Data x 2
After discount I average around $137. Even if I added another $9 line and added 3gb of data, it's still cheaper for me to stay on unlimited. The new 30gb plan will cost me $185 before my 15% discount.
