Re: New Family Plan not enough to drop unlimited data for some.

You are correct, the 10gb plan would run me $100. Problem is I just picked up an iPhone 6 on one of my lines. So this would add $15 / $40 for a total of $155 before 15% discount. The way I have my two lines setup my contracts are a year apart so there is always a line eligible for an iPhone upgrade. As far as data usage, I very seldom hit my 5gb cap unless I’m on the road. I normally hang around 2gb a month. My youngest son on the other had has a bad habit of exceeding the 5gb cap. Kids love Netflix and YouTube. Even with the cap he still watches video with no problems. The only reason I have been sticking with 2-year contracts, I can’t drop full price on an iPhone. Sometimes I’ll skip the next release, all depends on what Apple releases. If I use Next, I know I will have a monthly phone charge. I know Next will allow me to pay off the phone after the first billing cycle. Thanks for the info but I’ll just hang onto what works best for me right now. I will keep my eyes open on AT&T changes.

FYI

3-mo. Avg.
15.46GB

3-mo. Peak
19.68GB
