Each customer with throttle data on a grandfathered unlimited plan needs to wise up.
There was a gentleman in California that sue them for this very reason and received around $1000.
They may have blocked where you cannot set up a [Edited to comply with Guidelines] Gos to show it is not because of network congestion like they said, it is just a way for them to try to extort money from people and push them off the unlimited plans. For instance me being on a 900 rollover minutes not even having unlimited cell phone minutes with unlimited text message and supposedly unlimited data but I pay $30 a month for and also might I add do not receive my 22% discount on my unlimited data for whatever reason.
So at the end of the day I pay 108 per month for one line with limited cell phone minutes unlimited text messages and unlimited throttle data that is unusable after the 5 GB allotment sometimes even earlier. Throttling the speed to .40 upload and download speeds, come on people what are we in 1990 and still have dial-up. [Edited to comply with Guidelines]
They offer the new guy and me unlimited minutes with unlimited text messages and 10 GB which is double the amount I get before I am throttled and they will offer anyone with my saying 22% discount or me all that for 104 per month. If you cannot see the problem with this you are blind as a customer and you deserve to get ripped off. Even Tom Wheeler FCC sees what they are doing to people, That is why he put the heat on Verizon and they change their mind knowing it would not look good on their part offering double data plans and still throttling unlimited grandfathered plans for "congestion" ya ok sure.
[Edited to comply with Guidelines] then take your service over to straight talk and get the same GSM network AT&T has with them for $45 a month unlimited everything even data just throttled the same just like AT&T does to everyone, you won't even be on the same AT&T network if you use a GSM phone and GSM Sim from straight talk. They throttle a little bit sooner but so does AT&T when they choose to in their throttle is not anywhere as bad, but if you need more data at the price you were paying you can have two lines for the price of one with AT&T unlimited.
AT&T needs to wise up before they lose all their long-term unlimited customers, which may not be everyone but I guarantee you it will put a heck of a dent in their customer base. Those people with the unlimited plans are long-term customers that have accounts in good standings and paid our bill, not the crappy customers that don't keep their phone connected or paid her bill on time.
Treat good customers better or end up left with the horrible customers.
I'm all about newer plans being cheaper and all but not intentionally trying to rip off and force your lifelong customers into new plans to make more money off them in the future somehow.
No one should be getting a plan for cheaper with double the data and unlimited minutes for cheaper then somebody with unlimited data throttled and only 900 minutes that is just completely unsensible that people think it is sensible in anyway to throttle somebody at half the data they're offering to New customers now that is paying more Per month then those new customers with only having limited cell phone minutes and unlimited data plan.
Makes no sense for a customer to get double the data offered to them and unlimited minutes for less per month and charge your lifelong customers a couple dollars more for unlimited throttled data unlimited cell phone minutes.
Just look at the AT&T Facebook page, wake up nothing but complaints poor customer service and a very poor company that eventually will downfall if nothing is done about it.
