Why is it out of the realm of possibility to open up the NAT type on AT&T's end? I have a large data pool that I wanted just for this reason. All I want to do is connect with friends and family over some online gaming but I hit a wall every time because of NAT type. Another carrier, one of my friends has this them, I know for a fact allows its customers to have at least moderate NAT which is ok. Way better than the strict NAT we are stuck with. Just crunch the numbers. About 19 million Americans don't have access to high speed. One third are gamers so that's about 6.5 million people I know that would want this. If there is some way that I am overlooking please share. I've done everything in my networking knowledge, and that is allowed on the customers end, that I can think of: internet sharing, port forwarding, DMZ and I even got my mobile hotspot connected to a router. Nothing works. I like AT&T but I am strongly considering switching carriers for this reason alone.
