After being on my parents plans, whom have been ATT customers for over 20 years, I decided to branch off and get my own plan with my wife. I was looking at my bill and it said "pay-per text" which was confusing to me as the last family plan had unlimited text and mobile to mobile. I have had unlimited data for over 7 years and wanted to maintain that So they were kind enough to transfer that over. The trick is that text messaging has to be purchased seperately for $20/person a month which means $40 for the both of us! That's absurd! This must be AT&T's way of getting people to opt out of their unlimited data and on to the new mobile share. I feel cheated as I specifically asked if my plan would stay exactly the same transferring over and the salesman said "yes it will be exactly the same". I had unlimited texting and now I don't.
