Details:
- I took a few pictures/movies.
- Went into the Photos app.
- The photos app said that 'automatic backup failed' so I pressed to resume
- A few hours later over 2.7GB of my mobile data plan was used up.
- The Google+ / Photos app is set to only do auto backup on WiFi, but the application instead used cellular data.
- When I look at Data Usage in the phone, the Google+ app shows >2GB of data being used yesterday, specifically says Foreground 510KB, Background 2.13GM.
- The bottom line is that the Google+ app used up almost all of my 3GB data plan despite my device being set on "Back up photos - Only when there is a Wi-Fi connection available"
Device is a Google LG Nexus 5
Android 4.4.2
Sounds more like a fault in the APP and not ATT
