You will need to visit an AT&T Store to have the SIM card updated and your account updated as well. If your daughter has the orginial Galaxy S or S2, it is a 3G device and your plan will need to be updated to ensure your daughter's line will work with LTE data.
You can try and do it over the phone, however with increased security mesaures, in most cases you will need to visit a store.
