Hi @steven950!

Welcome to the AT&T Community Forums! I am sorry that you are having an issue sending and receiving MMS messages. I will be glad to help out with this!

You can perform basic troubleshooting steps by using our AT&T Troubleshoot & Resolve tool available online. Make sure that your device’s brand name and model is selected. Select “Messaging” under “Select a Service -Related Issue”. This may help identify the issue and tell you how to resolve it.

Device & network requirements
Picture and video messaging uses Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) to send and receive audio, video, and picture messages. To use picture and video messaging:

  • You must have a picture and video messaging-capable wireless phone.
  • You must be on an LTE or GSM network supporting GPRS transport.
  • Your phone must be on and in a data coverage area to receive the picture or video message.
  • If the phone is off or out of the coverage area, the message will be stored for up to 72 hours and delivered when the phone becomes available.

Note –Make sure you are connected to the mobile data network when trying to send the MMS messages. Wi-Fi and MMS messages don’t always play well together which may be the reason the attachment is not downloading.

Hope this helps! Thank you for joining the AT&T Community Forums!
