This has happened to us as well. We live in the Auburn/Lewiston area where AT&T offers 1GB up to 10GB plans in the Auburn store. They tell customers this area is "in network" but it is not. The only area in Maine that is considered 'in network" is the Bangor, Maine area. Outside of that, it's all "out of network" or "roaming". So, why is AT&T allowed to sell data plans greater than 400MB in an area that can't use more than 400MB before getting suspended? We asked specifically about the coverage in this area when looking for a new pland and were told it was in network. I called the AT&T Tech Support and they told me that store AT&T does not have in-network coverage anywhere in Androscoggin County. They don't even have in-network coverage in Portland. This should not be allowed. People are not getting what they're paying for.
