Like a good boy, I decided that mobile share was a good deal and let AT&T roll me off of my grandfathered unlimited plan (since iPhone 2!).
I did my checking, I had barely come close to 2GB usage anyway between my wife's phone and mine, so I took the leap.
First month in - went over 2GB with < 12hours of time left on my cycle - BOOM. $15. Sigh.
This month - what are we, 4 days in? I'm at 65% of my cap. The culprit? Went on a bike ride this morning and let Google Music play for close to 2 hours. :^(
So, after some checking (since my contract is up in 2 weeks! woohoo!), T-Mobile has cheaper plans, LTE coverage as well, and a music 'clause' that lets you stream without dinging your data. Google Music isn't covered, but that's ok, I'll switch back to Spotify (which is).
I've been with AT&T forever, it seems like, probably at least a decade, but I think it's time to jump ship. T-Mobile is aggressively courting "modern" users, while AT&T seems to spend their time figuring out how to milk us for more $$$.
I must say - I won't miss the AT&T website. What's with the splash screen after you log in? 1999 called, they want it back! I kid, I kid.
Anyone else have any experience with T-Mobile in this aspect? I'm tired of this game with AT&T.
