I'd like to ask AT&T to arrange that the new PassPort roaming plans be available for use on cruise ships. AT&T is already in partnership with MTN for cruise ship service via "Cellular At Sea", and this would expand that service and profitability from it's partnership.
I cruise frequently, generally from 3 to 5 times a year. Typically for 12-15 days at a time. This generally includes many days at sea instead of in ports. The cruise ship interenet service is slow, and the billing is on a per minute rate. A flat rate for a given amount of data such as the PassPort options would be very useful and cost effective as an AT&T consumer. I'd rather have AT&T getting paid for the service than Royal Caribbean, altough I realize AT&T is probably still getting a slice of the pie.
We generally travel with outher family members, and the ability to text other passengers on their PassPort Plan would be priceless also, as would the per minute voice billing. Again, AT&T would have multiple lines on my account purchasing PassPort for trips.
