I’m a legacy “unlimited” user and called two weeks ago with a "throttle" data issue. I spent 40 min on the phone with some employee who hardly knew anything about ATT, let alone a mobile phone. She asked me to punch in a code to retrieve data information while we were still on the call together... um hello, it’s just going to beep when I punch numbers!! She told me they would call last Monday… it’s been a week.
Anyways, just got an iPhone 6 plus with LTE and they throttled me to a glacial speed of .33mbps after using just 4gigs. They advertise 5gigs before throttle on LTE. Also, the fact that they can’t just be honest about data “congestion” is a joke. ATT might as well be the Jay Carney of wireless providers given their bogus arguments of “congestion” and the current offer of unthrottled double data to new customers. We are in a world where segregation has taken the form of mobile wireless and the “legacy” customers receive second-rate service while the “new” customers reap the benefits of a time bomb special offer.
ATT get your act together. Treat others the way you wish to be treated! Oh wait… you’re a corporation that can only see the $$$ signs.
