we have an Iphone 5 that will ( Verified) and the 5c and 5s will also work, Apple changed the models in 2013 to do so.

Anyway its a failed argument because Iphones sell on Ebay and I can buy Tmobile unlocked Iphones for a good price and "Bring my own" to the network.
I'm waiting till tomorrow to make up my mind anyway, I have talked to Retention today and thinking on the whole thing in depth. Leaving At&t is not a "impulsive action" its been building over the past few months here............
The att a1533 is the model number you will need to take your 5s iphones to tmobile if you can get them unlocked.
The iPhone 5 is more tricky and may only get hspa+ which is 3.5g not LTE.
