I am feeling the same exact way. We decided to add a line for my husband to the account, and was convinced that since I had never used more than 3 GB of data in all these years that we should do well with 10 GB ( I Stay on my phone and internet browsing, and my husband does very little) so if they were being truthful, why not go with the "special" plan they offered to share 10 GB. I was uneasy about it, and just could imagine if they would use this new plan to begin the overage charges I have heard about from others.... Well I was RIGHT!! The first month was ok, even though I thought it excessive. The second month was 3.4 GB and I still thought that would be a little heavy since I was out of service completely for 9 days. (I'm the heavy user) We are now 1/2 way into  our 3rd month and they have us using 4.6 GB. Even though we have been very disciplined about using wi-fi when available, at this rate we will go over the 10 GB. THIS IS AN ATROCITY!  I had called in the first month when I thought it was a little too high, and heard the same line of excuses as you did. I am completely sick to my stomach that this company will stoop to such low tactics to get every last dime they can out of the trusting comsumers. I am looking to switch to another carrier also. it may not be much better but I have been with AT&T for many years and feel absolutely NO benefit from staying. We are not the only ones, the SHEOPLE in this world just fork over the money and get poorer by the day because of companies like this. Shame on THEM!
